Lungpacer Medical, Inc., a medical device company developing an intravenous catheter-based phrenic-nerve-pacing system, announced today their completion of enrollment into the Jugular Access early feasibility study conducted in Paraguay in anesthetized subjects undergoing routine cardiac surgery. The study enrolled 13 subjects and study results showed that LIVE Catheter access can be achieved by internal or external jugular vein access and the left and right phrenic nerves can be successfully stimulated, allowing contraction of the diaphragm.
