Doug Evans, PE, President and CEO of Lungpacer Medical Inc., is an accomplished medical device executive, business leader, and strategist with 30 years of industry, public, and private company experience. He is a serial innovator of first-of-their-kind products and has over 200 issued patents covering dozens of devices used by over 15 million patients worldwide, generating greater than $4 billion in end-user sales.

Doug serves as Chairman for TELA Bio (NASDAQ: TELA) and Board Member for WhiteSwell Medical.  Previously Doug served as Operating Director, Secretary, and Board Member of Intact Vascular (acquired by Royal Philips for $360M in 2020); as advisor to Essential Medical (acquired by Teleflex in 2018); and as Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of Kensey Nash Corporation (NASDAQ: KNSY) (acquired by Royal DSM for $360M in 2012).

Doug has a Bachelors in Engineering Science, an honors degree in Bioengineering, and a Masters in Business Management from Pennsylvania State University, as well as a Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania.

Doug is the co-founder of Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation, which seeks to raise community awareness about childhood cancers and supports the development of new and more humane therapies for children.

Rosemarie Dhavale, CPA, MBA, Chief Financial Officer, has twenty-five years of accounting and finance experience. Ms. Dhavale previously was the Vice President of Finance at Delta Dental of Minnesota and was Senior Director of Finance at Kensey Nash Corporation, a medical device company (acquired by Royal DSM).

She has been actively involved in analyzing new technologies and businesses throughout her career and lead accounting and finance teams in FP&A, implementations of systems and strategic initiatives.

Viral Thakkar, Chief Operating Officer, has more than 18 years of prior experience in managing and execution of all phases of Medical Device Design and Development from market definition through production and release. Viral has worked in medical device companies, internationally, in projects involving power-actuated surgical stapling devices, cardiovascular and peripheral stents, stent delivery systems, embolic protection devices, catheter based intra-vascular temperature management devices.

Previously, Viral has served in leadership roles for ZOLL, Boston Scientific, Radiant Medical, SMTPL & Power Medical Interventions.

Kevin Kearney joins Lungpacer with over 20 years of commercial medical device leadership experience. Throughout his career, Kevin has specialized in bringing new innovative technologies to the market. Prior to joining Lungpacer, Kevin built and successfully led several national sales teams responsible for commercializing disruptive technologies within the OR, ICU, and Ophthalmology space. Most recently he was the VP of Sales for Ceribell (NASDAQ: CBLL) which is a disruptive rapid EEG solution used primarily in the ICU and ER departments.

Kevin has consistently executed on delivering business results and building highly functional sales teams. Kevin holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin and a MBA from Saint Louis University.

Judy Ways, PhD, Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, has 30 years of regulatory and quality experience in the areas of respiratory, inflammation, and neurology. She has a strong track record for US and worldwide approvals for first-in-kind devices. She was previously VP Regulatory at Neuronetics, Neuron Therapeutics and MedImmune, and in leadership roles at Aventis Behring and Glaxo.

Judy obtained her PhD in Immunology and Cancer Biology from Stanford University.

Mike Longo, Vice President of Engineering, has over 20 years of experience developing and executing all phases of medical device development from concept through commercialization primarily focusing on cardiovascular devices and Nitinol stents. Mike has extensive medical device engineering experience that includes a strong knowledge of Quality Systems Regulations, ISO 9001 and 13485 as well as management experience for Class I, II and III development programs. Most recently, Mike served as Vice President of Research and Development for both Intact Vascular and Vesper Medical, which were purchased by Royal Philips in 2020 and 2022, respectively. Previously, Mike served in leadership and senior engineering roles at Animas Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson Company, Bioconnect Systems and Kensey Nash (now DSM). Mike earned a B.S. degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Andrew Ganton, Vice President of Marketing, joins Lungpacer with over 18 years of experience commercializing early-stage medical technologies. He previously held marketing leadership roles at CVRx (IPO: CVRX) and Shockwave Medical (IPO:SWAV and acquired). Before that, he held marketing and strategy roles at Stryker Neurovascular and Medtronic.

Andrew earned a B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Guelph, an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University, all in Canada. Andrew also completed the Biodesign Innovation Fellowship at Stanford University.

Megan Cotts joins Lungpacer with 19 years of experience in clinical research, strategic development, leadership, and program management across the full product lifecycle from preclinical discovery through clinical trials to commercialization. She has successfully led clinical teams in more than 30 clinical trial programs involving medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and combination biologics in areas such as neuromodulation/neurology, critical care, cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, surgical technologies, and urology.

Megan holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiology & Biology from the University of Minnesota and maintains certifications from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) as a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
